Motion of a polymer globule with Vicsek-like activity: from super-diffusive to ballistic behavior

چکیده

Via molecular dynamics simulation with Langevin thermostat we study the structure and of a flexible bead-spring active polymer model after quench from good to poor solvent conditions. The self propulsion is introduced via Vicsek-like alignment activity rule which works on each individual monomer in addition standard attractive repulsive interactions among monomeric beads. We observe that final conformations are globular phase for passive as well all cases. By calculating bond length distribution, radial distribution function, etc., show kinetics also microscopic details these pseudo equilibrium not same Moreover, center-of-mass shows more directed trajectory during its motion behavior mean-squared-displacement gradually changes super-diffusive ballistic under influence force contrast diffusive case.

From ballistic to diffusive behavior in periodic potentials

The long-time/large-scale, small-friction asymptotic for the one dimensional Langevin equation with a periodic potential is studied in this paper. It is shown that the FreidlinWentzell and central limit theorem (homogenization) limits commute. We prove that, in the combined small friction, long-time/large-scale limit the particle position converges weakly to a Brownian motion with a singular di...

Direct observation of the full transition from ballistic to diffusive Brownian motion in a liquid

At timescales once deemed immeasurably small by Einstein, the random movement of Brownian particles in a liquid is expected to be replaced by ballistic motion. So far, an experimental verification of this prediction has been out of reach due to a lack of instrumentation fast and precise enough to capture this motion. Here we report the observation of the Brownian motion of a single particle in ...

Super-Diffusive Behavior of Mobile Nodes from Mobility Traces

Mobility is the most important component in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) and delay-tolerant networks (DTNs). In this paper, we first investigate numerous GPS mobility traces for various mobile nodes and observe super-diffusive behavior in all GPS traces, which is characterized by a faster-than-linear growth rate of the mean square displacement (MSD) of a mobile node. We show that current syn...

Crossover from Diffusive to Ballistic Transport in Periodic Quantum Maps

We derive an expression for the mean square displacement of a particle whose motion is governed by a uniform, periodic, quantum multi-baker map. The expression is a function of both time, t, and Planck’s constant, ~, and allows a study of both the long time, t → ∞, and semi-classical, ~ → 0, limits taken in either order. We evaluate the expression using random matrix theory as well as numerical...
